Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis

Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is a prescribed medication proven to reduce the risk of HIV transmission by up to 99% when taken consistently as directed.

PrEP represents a significant advancement in HIV prevention, and we’re here to ensure our patients have access to this life-changing preventive measure.

Piedmont Care is proud to offer comprehensive PrEP services as part of our proactive approach to HIV prevention. By offering lab tests, dosage guidance, prescription management, benefits assistance, and ongoing support for adherence, we're committed to empowering individuals with the tools they need to protect their health effectively.

It's important to note that while PrEP effectively prevents HIV, it does not offer protection against other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) like syphilis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea. To safeguard against STIs, we strongly recommend condom use.

STI Testing

Sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing and treatment services are available by appointment at our medical practice.
